What I Do Here
Utilao is a one-person project. I write the backend (FastAPI/Python), the tool logic (PDF processing with pypdf/pikepdf, image processing with Pillow, background removal with rembg), the calculators, and the guides published on the blog. There is no separate editorial team, no outside reviewers, and no ghost-written content — see Editorial Standards for exactly what that means and where the limits are.
How I Work
My approach across PDF, image, calculator, converter, text, developer, and SEO tools is the same: run the tool against real files and real inputs before publishing, document the actual limits and known failure cases instead of hiding them, and correct anything reported as wrong. I don't hold, and don't claim, formal certifications, professional financial credentials, or medical credentials. Where a calculator touches finance or health, its page states plainly that it's an estimate, not professional advice — see the calculator's own page and Methodology for its formula, sources, and assumptions.
