1. Acceptance

By using Utilao ("the Site"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Site.

2. Free Tools — Fair Use

All tools are provided free for personal and commercial use, with no paid tier and no watermark. Server-side PDF and image tools currently accept files up to 20MB and 10MB respectively (see each tool's page for its current limit — limits can change). Automated scripts that mass-process files, attempt to bypass these limits, or try to overload our servers are not permitted and may be blocked.

3. File Ownership and Responsibility

You retain full ownership of the files you upload and the outputs you download — we claim no rights to them. You are responsible for the files you process: only upload files you own or otherwise have the legal right to process. Do not upload files containing illegal content, malware, or content that violates a third party's rights. This includes password-unlocking: only use the PDF unlock tool on files you own or are otherwise authorized to unlock. We reserve the right to delete any file and to block any user found violating these terms.

4. Calculators and Estimates

Calculators (finance, health, and everyday) produce estimates based on the formulas, inputs, and assumptions described on each calculator's page and in Methodology. They are educational tools, not professional financial, tax, legal, or medical advice, and not a substitute for a qualified professional. Verify important results independently before relying on them.

5. No Warranty

Tools are provided "as is." We make no guarantee that output files or calculator results will meet your specific requirements, or that the service will be available without interruption. Always verify important output and keep a backup of important files before and after processing — see Methodology for how we test tools, but automated testing cannot catch every possible input.

6. Limitation of Liability

Utilao is not liable for data loss, file corruption, incorrect calculator output, or other damages resulting from use of the Site. Process important files and rely on calculator results at your own risk, and maintain your own backups.

7. Intellectual Property

The Site's design, code, and written content are the property of Utilao. You retain full ownership of the files you upload and the outputs you download, as stated in Section 3.

8. Service Changes

We may add, remove, or change tools, limits, or features at any time as the Site evolves. We may update these terms at any time; continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
